Showing that eating a large breakfast and timing in within certain hours would have a significant effective on a females ovulation and balance of hormone levels.
Now, is it an illogical or logical thought that eating larger meals at specific times , i.e targeted breakfast between 7am- 9am can help women fight infertility? Doctors at the Hebrew and Tel Aviv universities researched calorie intake and what differences it gave to infertility sufferers. The experiment was conducted to see whether the timing in which you had your enlarged meal made a valid difference to your fertility levels. Carried out over a 12 week period 100 women were divided into two equal groups, each having roughly 980 calories at each sitting. One group would eat at breakfast time (7-9am) and the other would dine in the evening ( 5-7.30pm).

Remarkably evidence showed that the condition of the women belonging to the “dinner” group showed absolutely no change. However the results of the big breakfast group were miraculous, the women that would have eaten at breakfast time had decreased their glucose levels and insulin resistance by 8%, whilst their testosterone had dropped by a whopping 50% and their all important ovulation had increase

Many women that are affected by Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) have low insulin levels, this contributes as a major factor in low fertility as a whole and can mean that an intake of more calories at the right time of day can positively affect ovulation levels. The timing is important so that the calories can be digested properly and added to throughout the day.

It is important to remember this is not an advert to over eat, simply to make sure that in the hope of ovary simulation, eating a substantial amount of calories as your first meal of the day has not only the perks of improving your chances of conceiving, but makes for tasty addition to your morning coffee!
