• Something between coparenting and Donation?

Posted by ___XXX on 30 August 2020 at 15:49

Has anyone considered an arrangement somewhere between coparenting and donation? Perhaps contact once or twice a month with the odd weekend? I am not against either more or less contact, I just wonder if other people find themselves somewhere between seeking donor and coparent.

I think it can’t just be me right?

    A little more about me:

My name is Jess and I am a 32 year old looking to become a mum. I’m a degree educated homeowner and I currently work as a care coordinator. I’m looking for sperm donation from someone willing to be known to any child or platonic coparenting.

I have mild cerebral palsy (basically a bit of a limp), some food intolerances and some fatigue symptoms. However, I have spoken to doctors and specialists and been assured that there is no reason I cannot have and raise children successfully. I have also spent quite a bit of time around children over the years and not had any difficulty caring for them.

I believe that I have a lot to offer a child and can’t wait to share some of my knowledge and experience with them.

I have travelled in Australia and spent a little time in France. I am fascinated by different places and cultures.

History, languages, nature and fell walking are just some of the other topics that interest me. I love learning new things and would describe myself as ‘a bit of a nerd’ (but in a good way)!

I have a good support network, am willing to be flexible in any arrangements and am eager to start this adventure.

A quick update: suddenly, out of nowhere I have developed allopecia arreata (hair loss). I’m not bald (photos are recent) but I am really really worried that this could hinder my chances of finding a coparent. Doctors are telling me not to worry and go ahead but for that I need another person to agree. Is there anyone out there who would still consider me? I desperately want to be a mum!

I have detailed both my positive and negative points here. Not to put people off but to be open, honest and try to show myself as genuine. Perhaps everyone else on this site has an unblemished health record. I can only be myself and hope people at least give me a chance.

Please get in touch to discuss how you would ideally like parenting to work for you.
