    Hi,

    I know this type of message may have been posted a hundred times, but please bear with me.

    I am a single straight female (44), looking for a no-strings attached donor. I would adopt if I could but the system is severely stacked against my demographic.

    I am not really looking to co-parent, however I would like to have some information from the father as although will be a lone parent, every child deserves to know who their parents are.

    I am unsure of some of the terminology used on the site AI, NI, PI, etc.

    Advice as to the preferred process for arranging the first steps (even before donation), advice on timing and how to try to ensure optimal times, and conception process.

    I am not a full member yet, but fully intend to soon, so any information would be very gratefully received.

    Thanks in advance.

    Please anyone correct me if I am wrong but to my understanding ;

    NI Natural Insemination – Inseminating the woman by natural means ie the guy has sexual intercourse with the lady to get her pregnant.

    PI Partial Insemination – Similar to above by rather than having a long session of sex with the woman the guy inserts his penis into the woman just before ejaculation (the idea being that there is less contact with the woman before insemination but the semen is still directly put into the woman)

    AI Artificial Insemination – Various methods are available but the best seems to be that the guy ejaculates into a clean sterile container and the woman or a friend then draws the semen up into a syringe and gently pushes the syringe into the recipients vagina before releasing the semen directly into her. The time between the guy giving the sample and the vagina receiving it being fairly short so a hotel meeting where all parties are present tends to be the best way to go.

    Personally I have done all 3

    I have had greater success with NI however all 3 methods will work. Peter
