single female looking for co-parent /donor

Hi I’m in same situation as you possibly looking for a donor and I know someone who got a sperm donor through a clinic but said it was expensive was reading the ways to get pregnant, I read that best way to inseminate is by a trained person which i presume there woukd be a cost and the route of doing it yourself would be free or less costky but i was reading it said if you attempt it yourself there is risk of infection, just wondering have you thought about how you would do it, just getting people’s views on this.
